I wonder if there is a potential that the AI-Boom could actually Increase the Pay Rates of Real Writers across the board in the long-term.
When the "Norm" becomes AI-Junk, and a Company/Person/etc. "needs" to Stand Out, the Value of a "Real Writer" could potentially go significantly up.
Since there would also be fewer Writers overall due to more people jumping from the harder work of Writing to the easier work of Generating AI-Content, it could change the Supply/Demand Structure.
It could become Significantly more Noticeable if the Quality of AI does diminish overall and Companies' Profits end up tanking due to the decreased Quality of Content, forcing them to Change Gears.
Not too dissimilar to how "Blue Collar" jobs have Increased in Value and many in those Industries now make Significantly More Money than those in "White Collar" jobs.
I'm not sure it will play out like this, but it is an interesting to think about.
