Then Overcoming It

The World can be a Scary Place, and there is Darkness that exists.

I have been thinking about this a lot today.

I received an email from an organization that I donate to, Save the Children.

“I dream that war will end and peace will be…”

A young girl, 8 years old, in East Ukraine.

The War she lives in is not the only war going on today.

Right now, there are 6 Major Wars that are ongoing.

To Qualify as a “Major” War, it must have 10,000 Deaths this year or the previous year.

The Russo-Ukranian War.

The Arab-Israeli Conflict.

The Myanmar Conflict.

The Insurgency in the Maghreb.

The Mexican Drug War.

The Sudanese Civil War.

This is not a list of all current wars, just those that hit a high enough death count.

I also received another email from someone whose work I deeply respect.

He lives in California, “America’s Most Populous State”.

He discussed how the average killer is only behind bars for 15 years.
